Hey Everyone! Sorry its been so long since the last time you heard from me....
So another semester is in the midst and like always is harder and more stressful than the last. I have very different array of classes this semester, which is nice. I am learning about different subjects rather than an overlap of information. I have a couple of biology courses I am taking for my major of course. One focuses on Ecology and the others focus is more on cells and molecular processes. I also have a math class and a class that is part of Dragon Core, which is my favorite. It is called Issues of Death and Grief and even though it sounds a little weird, it is probably the most interesting class I have ever taken. It is a subject that people shy away from even though it happens to everyone, which is why I took it and I am so glad I did.
My hardest class right now is Applied Bio-stats, where sometimes I have no idea what is going on, but the teacher is awesome so that always makes going to class bearable. I always laugh at least once during the class because of his odd ways of comparing life with what we are talking about.
The point he was trying to get across the other day was how important it is to balance school with life. He said that even though school is important, you also need to have fun and now worry so much about always doing great. There needs to be a balance or else your life will feel as if it has been wasted and you won't remember what life is all about. Well at least that is what I got out of it. Ha. He also joked about how you shouldn't have just one group of friends, rather you should be friends with people who are different. He used the example of being friends with someone who likes to have fun and someone who is very studious. His example was a party animal and a nerd. He said this way you go and have fun, but when its time to concentrate on your studies you will have someone to help you do that too. It was probably the funniest class so far.
He likes to joke that's for sure. This is how all my teachers that I have had so far have been; fun. Even if they try to hide there jokes to still make the class "serious" by not laughing themselves. Either that or they want to see if anyone is actually paying attention. ha. School is school though. I just can't wait for the snow to melt. That will make things so much better. Ha.
Well until next time...Stay warm!
