Lovin' It!

Spring has sprung! I love this time of year because there is so much to do. I love just being outside and enjoying the sun without ten layers of clothes on. I love playing volleyball outside and going rollerblading with friends. Nothing better. Seeing all the new baby calves when I go home is always a relief and a reminder that spring is really here. It doesn't last but a month and then it is lake weather hot where it is hard to be outside all the time like now, unless you are in the water. However, then the cold comes back. The cold always seems to last longer than the warm. I wish it was like this all the time. Well, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful time of year! Enjoy..

Spring Break 2010

Spring break is already over and it is back to the real world. This year I spent 7 days in Pearland Texas which is about 45 minutes from Houston. I was surprised to learn that this part of Texas looks exactly like North Dakota (I was expecting desert). The highest temperature it got while we were there was 80 degrees which was amazing compared to the 40 degree weather we have been having here. It was overall an amazing trip. We didn't do too much which was nice because we got to relax by the pool and enjoy the time off from school. We went to the Houston Rodeo in which we got to see Keith Urban perform. It was amazing! We also went to the Houston Zoo, The National Air Guard Base, did tons of shopping, went to Galveston Beach and a little shopping/theme park next to the gulf coast; just to name a few. It was a blast and I would love to go back and see all the other things we missed out on. It made it so hard to come home and get back into the grove of things. It is crazy that its over already when I was looking so forward to it. Now counting down the days till the end of the semester. Till next time...

MSUM Womens 6 on 6 Intramural Volleyball Champs!!!

Hey all,
This last Sunday was the beginning of 6 0n 6 women's recreation volleyball intramural tournaments . I have been playing on numerous intramural volleyball teams since the beginning of my freshman year and I do not know what I would do without it each semester. It is such a stress reliever and I love having something to look forward to. We usually play every Sunday and Tuesday night anywhere from 7-9:30. It is a blast. I have been on a 4 on 4 woman's rec, 4 on 4 co-ed rec and now a 6 on 6 woman's. I am on a team with 5 other friends. I love how it is not so competitive as being on an actual team and we can just play and have fun. We recently just ended this session being undefeated and winning the title of being champs for this semester. We all got free tee shirts that say "MSUM Intramural Champ." However, it was a close call the last game, but we pulled through. I would rather have a game where you are neck and neck and where you have to work for the victory instead of completely killing the other team. However, it is sometimes nice to have a huge defeat to boost the confidence level. ha. I can't wait until the next session which is 4 on 4's to start up again. It gives me a break from homework, a workout and not to mention a time to do something I love to do, all at the same time.

Hope everything is wonderful and you are enjoying the warm weather we are having.
Until next time.
